Ceres Unified School District
Volunteer Application Process
Ceres Unified School District encourages parents, guardians, and members of the community to share their time, knowledge, and abilities to support our students and our schools. We believe school volunteers enrich educational programs and strengthen our schools’ relationships with families, businesses, public agencies, and private institutions.
To ensure and enhance the safety and well-being of CUSD students, we use an online Volunteer Application Process through the Raptor program. For more information, please click HERE to visit our Volunteer page.

Ceres Community Collaborative
The Ceres Community Collaborative is a group of representative agencies and community members that are committed to meeting the needs of families in Ceres and the surrounding community. Members are dedicated to coordinating resources that empower and support individuals and families to learn and grow. Formal meetings occur quarterly.
Please check back for 2022-2023 meeting dates, coming soon!
Meetings are typically scheduled from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Meeting location is the Argus Multi-Use Building located at 2503 Lawrence Street, Ceres (Use the parking lot behind the Ceres Unified School District Main Office).
The Ceres Community Collaborative was formed in 1994 as a planning group for a Healthy Start project. The Collaborative has grown in size and importance over the past 20 years. Currently, over 30 partner organizations, including faith-based organizations, local governmental agencies, independent youth-oriented organizations, Institutions of Higher Education, and grant-funded agencies are involved.
The Ceres Community Collaborative has successfully identified priorities, developed plans, mobilized public and private resources and integrated services that support children and families and enhance community well being.
The Ceres Community Collaborative partners continue to address community issues and form working partnerships to develop solutions to the needs of our students and families.
For information on becoming a partnering agency, contact Julie Lynn Martin-Borba, 209-556-1555.
School to Business Partnerships
Since 2007, CUSD schools have developed formal partnerships with local businesses, resulting in support by the business of school site activities and events. Businesses have contributed staff time, materials, resources, and other in-kind contributions to each school. Each school site promotes the business at school events and activities as a sponsor. If you are a business interested in supporting a school in Ceres, please contact the principal of the school you want to partner with.
Mentors and Volunteers are Needed for CUSD Programs
