The focus of the Mae Hensley Physical Education department is to teach our students the skills they need to be physically active and healthy for a lifetime. Students will learn fitness skills that can be done in their own home or at a gym, how to set goals for themselves, assess their fitness levels, and will be exposed to a variety of sports and games that will help students feel confident in themselves and their physical abilities.

The Dance Program is designed to develop self-confidence, body awareness, rhythm, coordination, as well as physical fitness. Students will participate in a variety of dance styles. In addition, dance vocabulary and concepts will be taught. Dance students will be tested for their knowledge of curriculum and skills through written and physical tests.
