Grade Point Average:
A Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) will be calculated for each student
at the end of each quarter grading period. GPA is calculated by using the following method
(each letter grade is assigned a numeric value):
A = 4 B = 3 C = 2 D = 1 F = 0
Eighth grade students must earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 and a minimum
of 60 credits to be eligible for promotion activities, including the 8th grade trip, promotion
party, promotion ceremony, and to receive a promotion certificate. Students receive four
(4) quarter grade reports.
